Admission Enquiries

Enquiries to the school with regard to Admissions are always welcome.

Applications for the Nursery Class are made directly to the school.
All other applications for starting Reception at age 5 and in-year applications for all other year groups are made directly to the local authority where you live, you can find links to their application websites below.

Before applying, we hope that parents will visit the school on one of our many guided tours.  You will get to meet the Head Teacher over a cup of tea and learn more about the school in a presentation.  All of our guided tours visit the whole school so you can see the work of the school in detail.  We have more information for you below, for queries about admissions please email us at admissions@stcecilias.school and we will be happy to help.

Good news!

Demand for primary school places is much lower than in the years before the pandemic.  In 2023, all Reception Class applications were successful.  In light of this change in demand we are able to move to a simpler admissions process in the future, we will be consulting on a new policy this year for implementation for September 2025.

Nursery applications

Applications for Nursery Class are made online directly to the school via this form:

Nursery Online Application

Our Nursery class admits children in the academic year of their fourth birthday.  The academic year runs from September to August.  Parents need to apply the year before admission, in the academic year of their child's third birthday between September and 15th January.

Nursery places tend to be part-time with morning or afternoon sessions available, if they are ready for Nursery, children attend 5 mornings or 5 afternoons per school week.  Full-time places are usually available, the number of places available can change according to demand.
