Instrumental Tuition

We are very fortunate in having three visiting instrumental teachers offering tuition in the clarinet, flute and violin.  Instrumental lessons take place during school hours.

CLARINET LESSONS with Mr Gary Lewers

£80 per term for 10 individual lessons of 15 minutes.

FLUTE LESSONS with Miss Charlotte Wilson

£85 per term for 10 individual lessons of 15 minutes.

These costs are payable directly to the instrumental teacher who will issue his/her own invoice.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, and once the available places are filled any remaining pupils will be placed on a waiting list. If you would like your child to learn the flute or clarinet, please complete the attached form and return it to me as soon as possible.

VIOLIN LESSONS with Mrs Dagmara Matusiak

Violin lessons are provided by a teacher from the Sutton Music Service.

The fees are £80 per term for Group Tuition.

The music Service also offers paired lessons at a cost of £103 per term of 10 lessons but as we only have limited teaching hours, Mrs Kolendo strongly advises parents to apply for the GROUP LESSONS at a cost of £80 per term of 10 lessons.

Parents need to complete an online application form directly to the Sutton Music Service.

Purchasing an instrument

Should parents wish to purchase a musical instrument for their child, it is possible to do this through the HMRC-approved VAT Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme

To do this please:

  • contact our Finance team with details of the instrument you wish to purchase
  • provide full provider and cost information including shipping and VAT=

The school will then arrange to order the instrument on your behalf, parents then recompense the school for the total cost minus the VAT amount.
