The School Day

EYFS

EYFS students enter via a different gate on London Road, located near the large sandpit.  The gate opens at 08:35 and closes at 08:50 by which time we expect all the children to be in class.

The Nursery day is split into different sessions with AM running from 8:40 until 11:40 and PM from 12 noon until 15:00.  Students who are in the Nursery for 30 hours have their lunch in between the two sessions.

The Reception day runs from 8:50 until 15:00.

KS1 and KS2

KS1 students enter via the large double gates on the London Road, nearest the school office.  Students are expected to be in their classroom by 08:50, the double gates on the front playground are opened at 08:35.

KS1 children finish at 15:00 and KS2 at 15:10.  All of the children are collected from the front playground.

ECAs

If your child is participating in an Extra-Curricular Activity (ECAs) they should be collected from the front playground, all clubs finish at 16:10.

Lunch

All the children receive a break in the morning and for lunch, KS1 students also have an afternoon break, timings vary according to the age of the student.

Our childcare operates from 0730 until 1800, reservations need to be made in advance, see our Childcare information page, for more information contact childcare@stcecilias.school.

New gates and fencing on the way!

We are getting all new fencing and gates during the Spring/Summer of 2023. Until then please bear with us as you enter the school.

School Day Length

Our Key Stage 1 pupils minimum day is 30hrs and 50 minutes. 

Our Key Stage 2 pupils minimum day is 31hrs and 40 minutes. 

Children in KS1 and 2 who arrive when the school opens complete an extra 75 minutes of learning activity each week.

We are making plans for formally change our hours with a reduced staggered start to the day so that all children complete 32 and a half hours each week for September 2023.
